Source: Italy not mulling Lukoil's refinery nationalization

ROME, Apr 27 (PRIME) -- Nationalization of Lukoil's refinery ISAB in Sicily is not on the agenda of the Italian government, Economic Development Ministry sources said in on Wednesday.

"The issue of nationalization of refinery ISAB is not on the agenda. At the same time, there is concern about the social consequences on this territory, and the situation is closely controlled by the ministry," the sources said.

Reuters reported on Tuesday that Italy was considering temporary nationalization of the facility in case of sanctions against Lukoil. Corriere della Sera said that 3,500 people could lose their jobs in case of sanctions.
